In canada, we have a single payer but the doctors practice in private clinics…….unless you have a competitive private market, costs explode

PRIVATE vs PUBLIC HEALTH CARE:

PRIVATE:
If it could get away with giving you sugar pills and charging you 1000$ a week merely for having the option it WOULD. It is a company, it has to make profits.

PUBLIC:
It is a job for the staff and maybe a calling. They will do it as well as they can to keep it. The government will find the money to pay for it somehow.

Frankly, I prefer it to be a job than a means for a corporation to get fatter.

Public Option is a good 1st step towards Single Payer Health Care. But I’m just worried about those “Bluedog Conservative” Democrats in the Senate. Will they go along with the Public Option plan President Obama’s proposing? I heard that Democrats received more Private Health Insurance Lobbyist money than their right wing Republican counterparts in the last election cycle. I knew these bluedog conservative Dems would give Obama problems as it pertains to health care reform.

ALL Americans are NOW paying in HIDDEN TAXES the cost for medical care for the “UNINSURED” who must use the EMERGENCY ROOM.

With President Obama’s Health Plan ALL AMERICANS will be covered. These HIDDEN TAXES will disappear.

WHY would a—PUBLIC GOVERNMENT PLAN—be good enough for all REPUBLICAN SENATORS in Congress—but NOT good enough for ALL AMERICANS—who choose this option over a Private Plan??

Everyone wants universal health care…”Single payer health care” will never gain traction until a cogent plan to cover the inherent costs of such a system are presented. Health care costs are around 2 trillion dollar annually. Find a place for such a cost on the federal budget?!? Continuing to create a more efficient and inclusive system should be our goal…not, under any circumstances, should educated peole demand an immediate shift to single payer health care.
