What is the difference between Drug Cartels and Drug Companies? The Drug Companies get away with it.

  2. uberjim83 Says:

Exactly. If it WASN’T a bloody con, if you actually could get your money’s worth, if they weren’t ripping off their customers, they’d go bankrupt! That’s what happens when you try to make a profit off of other people’s suffering.

  3. uberjim83 Says:

I did, those numbers were compiled by showing the total from all the individual contributions from employees of said corporations. If a hundred Google employees all donated ten dollars for example, it would say that Google sent Obama a thousand dollars. A bit misleading if you ask me.

  4. grg61458 Says:

Fun fact 1# How does Insurance Companyies make a profitl. On denying your coverage, or dropping you anytime your taking to much money for healthcare. Google That!!

  5. uberjim83 Says:

Fun fact #2: Lies don’t work in a forum where everyone can google what you’re saying.

  6. uberjim83 Says:

Yeah, because he didn’t, you know, WRITE THEM or anything. And I’m sure all the news footage of him doing his job as president is all just CGI.

  7. truthforamerica Says:

In that case, President Obama should refuse to work for any salary and no royalties on his books.

  8. liquorandpoker Says:

Obama accepted millions from corporations. Do your research.

  9. uberjim83 Says:

Not a bad idea! I think if all the candidates (3rd party guys too) were exposed equally, we’d have a much higher quality of government than we have now. Problem is, that’s usually several dozen guys, only two or three of whom have the money to buy a lot of tv spots (and many of whom are batshit insane).

  10. uberjim83 Says:

Congress doesn’t get rich by refusing to do their job when it’s needed the most. It’s not wrong to get rich, it’s wrong to get rich by lying and stealing.

  11. bushputz Says:

    That’s fine, too.
We could also require the media outlets to provide free air time to the candidates.
Anything to break the stranglehold of big business and Wall Street on our political process is a step in the right direction.

  12. uberjim83 Says:

I prefer the strategy Obama implemented, where one can only accept small donations from individual constituents. That way when you’re elected your debt is to the people, not the corporations.

  13. uberjim83 Says:

Fun fact: if you can’t depend a point of view without lying, it’s not a valid point of view.

  14. TheNaturalWoman Says:

Robert Grenwald does it again! I’ve got to see this documentary.

  15. independentview1 Says:

No fan of insurance companies but you have to read your policy, no matter how long it is.

P.S. Democrat universal health plan- Going blind- no treatment until blind in one eye. Thanks for caring Obama.

  16. wh0m33 Says:

    the truth finally comes out.

  17. bushputz Says:

Until we get the multinational corporations out of our political system, nothing will change.

    1) Campaign reform: if we tack on 5-10 dollars onto everyone’s taxes each year, we would have plenty of money to fund elections and make corporate contributions illegal
    2) Enforce the Sherman Antitrust Act: too big to fail = too big to exist
    3) Break up the corporate media: they are just shills for the multinationals
    4) Education: we need to educate ourselves and get involved

  18. truthforamerica Says:

This week Congress plans to spend $500 million dollars to upgrade private planes to shuttle around politicians. The same politicians who demonized corporate jets. The same ones that demonize health insurance companies. The makers of this video could have just as well made a video about how many people Congress’ waste would cover for health insurance. And they should challenge Chris Dodd (who has prostrate cancer) to go to a country with universal healthcare to get treatmen. Yeah right.
